The Crompton 1822 heavy automatic gate latch is a popular product found on many pedestrian gates, offering a simple surface mounted way to secure a gate in the closed position. The bolt automatically engages in the strike upon closing, and is releases by operating the jaw manually. There is a piercing that allows a padlock to be fitted that prevents the jaw from opening if required. This product is galvanised and suitable for use is outdoor environments.Â
